Converge Gathering 2026: Registrations now open
 

We're excited to let you know that registrations are now open for our gathering from July 27- 29th, in Sydney. The venue is Golden Grove - a conference and retreat centre in Newtown.

 

This year, the Converge Gathering will run back-to-back with the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (IASYM), with a shared crossover day on Wednesday 29th July connecting both events.

 

Together, we’re creating space for those involved in Christian ministry with children, youth, and emerging adults across Australia and New Zealand to connect, learn, and share from diverse contexts and traditions.

 

At the Converge Oceania Gathering, you’ll join youth ministry leaders for three days of connection, formation, and practical insight. Alongside time for community, there will be facilitated conversations on topics including leadership, neurodiversity, second-generation discipleship, mental health, and sustaining yourself in ministry.

 

Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and equipped alongside others who share your calling. 

Help shape the content of the Converge Gathering by star-rating the topics most relevant to you.

This session will look at the growing influence of extreme and damaging ideologies among young people. Together, we'll explore how the church can respond with intentional, hope-filled discipleship.

Examining reports of a grassroots spiritual awakening, participants will seek to understand what God may be doing beneath the surface and how churches can recognise and participate in it.

A conversation on the changing role of Christian leadership, focusing on how leaders can create space, empower emerging leaders, and faithfully steward new expressions of faith.

Exploring how ministry responses can be shaped in ways that best support young people and their families as they navigate neuro-diversity.

Learn to recognise signs of trauma and respond with care, sensitivity, and healthy boundaries. This session will provide practical strategies to support those experiencing trauma, create safe spaces, and connect individuals to appropriate help.

Practical approaches to engage youth with Scripture in meaningful, interactive, and transformative ways. Explore strategies that invite young people to find their place within Gods story.

Ministry can be demanding, with heavy workloads, unrealistic expectations and limited resources. This session explores practical ways to maintain spiritual and emotional health, manage discouragement, and establish sustainable rhythms for long-term ministry.

Explore how an increase in mental health literacy might shape our expressions of spiritual community and support of young people.
